| City Fest 2009 |
CityFest is approaching us quickly. I want
to THANK YOU all for volunteering Saturday, June 6, 2009. Without your
help, we would not be able to pull this off. Just a few quick reminders
before next Saturday…
Friday, June 5 – T-shirts will be available for pickup between 5:30 and
7 pm at the Municipal Park Soccer Field (behind TMS). If you still have
canned Coke products, we will gladly take them from you at that time.
Saturday, June 6 – Please come to the “Mommy” tent at the KidFest area
to check in before your shift and get your assignment for the day.
Volunteers will be available to tell you where to go and what to do.
Please wear plenty of sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. We do not want
lobsters on our hands.
Please know that while you are manning an inflatable that you will not
be allowed to talk on the phone or text IF you have children on your
inflatable.
Also, while children are playing on your inflatable, you are not allowed
to sit down but must watch closely and carefully. We do not want any
child hurt on our watch.

Our Wind Ensemble performed at the Alabama Music Educators Association Conference at the University of Alabama. They sounded absolutely beautiful! We are so proud of them and what they have accomplished. For anyone interested, Eric Starling took many pictures of the whole event and they are available for purchase on his website (www.backstagebham.com). You may purchase either individual pictures (prices on his website) or a CD with all pictures for $20.00.
You may also order a DVD of the concert from ProCat for $20.00 (link to website).
| New General Band Fundraiser |
For all those who are online shoppers, we have a new way to raise money for the general band fund.
"Please click on the Visit Our Mall logo to shop at our great new mall. You will find hundreds of stores and thousands of special deals and coupons in our mall. We get a generous portion of every dollar spent in our mall."
When picking up your child after away band events, please do not park in the circular area behind the band room. Use any available parking in the new student parking lot in back. We need the circular area for the buses and the equipment truck. Thank you!
